How to register a vehicle in a state?
The purchase of a new vehicle comes with many formalities and paperwork that need to be done before the buyer can take their vehicle for a drive. A person cannot drive a vehicle on Indian roads if they don’t possess these documents-Driving License, Registration Certificate (RC), PUC Certificate, Insurance Policy, and other Required Permits.

Documents required for Vehicle RC
Given below is the list of documents required when applying for the Registration Certificate of your vehicle-
Dealer and Manufacturer Invoice copy
Attested copy of the Insurance policy
Attested copy of Address proof
PAN Card copy
Passport-sized photographs
Registration fees receipt
Form 20 – Duly filled with accurate information
Form 21 – Sales certificate issued by your vehicle dealer
Form 22 & Form 22A – Roadworthiness certificate issued by the manufacturer
Form34 – Duly signed by the owner and the financier
